    Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH) is provided by the military to help active service members with living expenses, and can be used for either on- or off-base housing.

    The Housing Management Office will be your first point of contact when you receive moving orders, and provides services that will help you with referrals, relocation assistance, guidance for entering a lease agreement and tenant-landlord disputes.

    Keeping track of the places named Charleston around here can be a challenge! The elder city of Charleston is one of the oldest cities in the USA, with a lot of local history, and a population of about 128,000 people. It is almost 350 years old, and was originally a colonial city. North Charleston was settled as far back as the colony of South Carolina, but is much younger as a city - going all the way back to the 1970s - and now has a population of about 105,000. Joint Base Charleston, better known as Charleston Air Force Base, is about 20 minutes from downtown North Charleston to the main base.     About Charleston AFB
    Charleston Field has been part of Joint Base Charleston since 2010, and shares a number of runways with Charleston International Airport. It is home to the 628th Air Base Wing and the 437th Airlift Wing. Charleston Field holds an air show every other year which includes displays of historic military aircraft, flight demonstrations and a premier presentation by the United States Air Force Thunderbirds or Blue Angels.
